EL (CLAN)DESTINO is a photographic documentation of snippets in time that served as an escape, from our dreadful and incomprehensible reality, during and after months of quarantine due to the global pandemic.

It was there, among a few multifaceted movie-like characters, friends and acquaintances from Santurce, Puerto Rico, where I found the inspiration to continue making photos of the one thing we were prohibited interaction from; human interaction.

I documented during a period of one year, July 2020 — July 2021 the ways in which we sought refuge

while once again, waiting for the storm to pass.

My photographs capture my interface with the world.

It is at the moment of clicking the shutter that both of our voices meet,

and through a close reading of the image,

the dialogue between artist and subject is found.
